The Perfect RakeのヒロインPrudenceの双子の妹のひとり、Hopeと、生まれは良いけど育ちにはいろいろわけありの苦労人Sebastianが主人公の物語。作者のGracie、BBCドラマNorth&Southを観たのかなあ〜なんて思って読みました。Sebastianの背景のヒントになったのかな・・・と。
前作に続いて楽しませてもらいました。ダイアログはTPRの方が光っていたけど、今回のまた違ったタイプのストーリーも良かったし、Sebastianが最初に白羽の矢を当てたLady Elinorと彼の親友との関わりもコミカルで面白かったです。
